Oil Pressure Switch – Installation and Wiring Instructions

This switch is fitted at the rear of the engine, on the timing side, replacing the original 23 mm plug. Simply unscrew the original plug and install the oil pressure switch in its place.

Electrical connection:

• Connect the warning light to a switched positive (+12V) supply.

• Connect the second wire from the warning light directly to the terminal on the oil pressure switch.

The switch is normally grounded. When sufficient oil pressure is present, the contact opens and the warning light remains off. If oil pressure drops or is lost, the switch closes the ground circuit and the warning light illuminates to indicate a low oil pressure warning.
